Everyone Can Help
Everyone has a talent to lend. Tapping into people’s skills and knowledge creates a more meaningful experience for the volunteer and those that they serve. When a volunteer shares with others, it helps to sustain a culture of relationship building among many groups, including youth, seniors, local businesses and other charitable organizations.
The Anna Maria Island Community Center depends on the gracious volunteering of individuals from our area. Our volunteers coach teams, help with fundraisers, plan events and play integral roles in countless other endeavors for the Center. Without them, it would be impossible for the Community Center to dedicate itself completely to the betterment of Anna Maria Island. Teens and adults alike commit hundreds of hours every year to volunteering at the Center, and there is always a need for someone like you to volunteer as well. We know that people volunteer for different reasons, but what they all have in common is a desire to give back to the community they love.
Change someone’s life for the better! Whether you can offer an hour, a day or a week, you can share what you love with the rest of the community. Our volunteers are contributing in many different ways such as:
- Reading, tutoring or mentoring
- Coaching youth sports
- Aiding in yearly fundraisers
- Participating in community outreach projects
- Special event planning
- Teen advising
- Assisting in our office
- Much, much more… If you have an idea, we’re all ears!
