Why do I have to wait till November 15th if I want to register online??

The NFL Organization is in the process of updating to waivers from 2009 to 2010.  Because a majority of our season takes place in 2010, every player needs a 2010 waiver.  These waivers will be updated by November 15th.  If you do not want to wait till November 15th, you can register at the Anna Maria Island Community Center Now.  Whichever option you choose just make sure you are registered by November 30th.

What's New this Year to AMICC NFL Flag Football??

There are a couple things new this year:

1. New Time of year.  NFL Flag Football Season takes the place as our "winter" Sport this year.  Tryouts are in December, games begin in January and run through the beginning of March.

2. All Games and Football Activity will be played at the Anna Maria Island Community Center Fields.  Here we are able to utilize the Community Centers features like lighted fields, concession stand, playground and indoor restrooms.

3.  We are offering and adult league.  That's right!!!  Open to everyone ages 20 & up.  Games will be played on Thursday evenings at 6pm, 7pm or 8pm.  Register as individuals or pairs, no teams. Team Captains will be chosen to draft a team.  Tryouts will be done much like we do with our youth programs.  Immediately afterwards the team captains will meet to select teams.  All players will need to be at tryouts to be put on a team. 

What are the Age Groups and When do I try out??

AGE GROUPS & TRY OUT DATES (All Tryout Times are at 6:30pm)

(Age groups subject to change depending on registration)

Group A    5-7 Year Olds  Tuesday December 1st @ 6:30pm

Group B    8-9 Year Olds Wednesday December 2nd @ 6:30pm

Group C   10- 12 Year Olds Thursday December 3rd @ 6:30pm

Group D    13-16 Year Olds Friday December 4th @ 6:30pm

Adults        20 years old & up Monday December 7th @ 6:30pm

What is the program fee??

$65 for youth & $75 for Adults, Which includes NFL "Team" Reversible Jersey and Flag Belt.
 

How Do I pay for it if I Register Online?

After registration information is filled out you will have the option to pay online or pay here at the center.  If you choose to pay in person at the center, payment will be due during try-outs.  No player will be given a uniform until payment is made.  Scholarships are available.

What do I need to Bring to Try-outs?

It is very important to bring the right things to tryouts.  You will need:
1. Shorts With NO Pockets
2. Mouth Piece, Mouth Pieces Will be on sale during tryouts for $2.00, every player is REQUIRED to wear one
3. Waiver Form.  After Registration is complete you will need to print out, sign and bring the waiver form with you  to try-outs.  NO PLAYER WILL BE ALLOWED TO TRYOUT WITH OUT THE WAIVER FORM.
4. Player Registration Fee.  If you Choose to Pay in Person you will need to bring the Registration fee with.  PLAYERS WILL NOT BE GIVEN A UNIFORM UNTIL REGISTRATION FEE IS PAID.  Scholarships Available. 

What do I need to Wear to the a Game?

Players will need the following items to be eligible to play in the games.  
1. Current Team Jersey
2. Mouth Piece
3. Shorts With no Pockets and a different color than your flags.
4. Flag Belt
PARENTS/COACHES PLEASE HELP WITH THESE FOUR ITEMS.  RULES WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.

I am interested in coaching, What do I do?

Volunteer Coaching is the best way to make an impact in today's youth.  No Previous Coaching Experience is needed, just a passion for teach youth and a positive outlook.  If you are interested in Becoming a coach please click the "Volunteer" Button located on the top or bottom of the page.

Where and When are the Games Played?

The Games will now be played at the Community Center.  Days and times of the games can not be determined till after the tryouts are completed and we know how many team will be in each age division.  A Schedule will be provided by your coach when you pick up your uniforms on January 4th 2010.  A schedule will also be posted on the front page of the Community Center website.  Games will begin on January 5th 2010 - March 2010.
