EXERCISE CLASSES


AMI DRAGON BOATING - Paddlers from Paradise

AMICC is offering a pilot program for a Dragon Boat Program and Team(s) to be in full swing by Fall of 2014. Come out this month and learn the basics. FITNESS FOR WOMEN

Achieve your health and fitness goals with a personal trainer. It all begins with a preliminary fitness assessment and discussion of your goals/vision. Your training program will provide you with a safe and effective overall wellness program. You will also recieve support and encouragement to make lifestyle changes towards a healthier and happier YOU.

IRON YOGA

Everything you want in a workout! This is an hour long class of flowing athletic yoga postures to improve flexibility, balance and fluidity of movement.  The class is interspersed with weight training to boost your body's fat-burning capacity by speeding up your metabolism. Then we end the class with an abdominal workout emphasizing core and back stabilization.  Please bring your own hand weights and yoga mat (the center has all-purpose mats but for better performance a yoga mat is preferred). Please be mindful that this is an intermediate class; however, modifications are offered. Everyone is welcome to get in the best shape ever!

KARATE 

Come learn why so many people have made martial arts a part of their life. You will receive excellent instruction, as well as life skills that impact both kids & adults in a safe and friendly environment. Instructors provided by DOJO Martial Arts.
Days: Monday & Thursday starting in December
Time: 6pm - 7pm
Members: $85 a month. Non-Members; $99 a month

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

Get toned, trim and increase flexibility while having fun with your friends. You'll use different strengths of resistant tubing to stretch and tone your abs, legs, hips and arms. Good for any fitness level!
Days: Monday and Wednesday

Time: 9:00am-10:00am on Wednesdays all year.
Members: $6 per class / Non-Members: $12 per class

PILATES/YOGA MIX FOR BEGINNERS

Strong abs and back! Long lean muscles! Excellent grace of movement! Control and concentration! Based on the mat work of Joseph Pilates, this class will build core strength and flexibility. Beginning and advanced classes offered.
Days: Tuesday and Thursday
Time: 9:30am-10:30am

SUNRISE YOGA

Enjoy stimulating power yoga flow to strengthen your core, balance, mind and body, and gain flexibility of body and attitude. Flow seamlessly through a series of poses to gain inner and outer strength, as well as peace of mind. Bring a towel! Namaste.

  DANCE CLASSES 


ADULT BALLET & POINTE WORKSHOP

This workshop is perfect for more experienced beginners. Take your abilities to the next level in Mo Dye's workshop!

TOTAL BODY CONDITIONING                         

Have you always wanted a dancer’s body & strength but were never interested in ballet? OR have you wanted to take ballet but your body is not quite ready? This COMBO CLASS is for YOU! Get your blood moving & your heart rate up with an aerobics warm up while working on easy, fun dance routines. Follow with elements of Tai Chi, Yoga & Pilates to work on your core strength, then cool down with a meditative STRETCH!

SPORTS


PICKLEBALL

This is a fun and energetic sport for all ages! It’s a combination of Ping-Pong, tennis and badminton and has been enjoyed all over the country for more than 20 years. Pickleball is played by two or four people on a badminton-sized court using wooden paddles and a plastic, poly baseball.
Days: Monday thru Saturday

Members: FREE / Non-Members: $8 per day pass
 

TENNIS
Come play tennis at the Rex Hagen Courts. The Center has three surfaced courts. Day passes are available at our Front Desk as well as short- and long-term specials. Stop by to find out more about our Membership opportunities!

PREVENTION PLUS

Prevention Plus conducts health screenings every month at the Community Center. Stroke/Carotid ultrasounds, Arterial Disease, Osteoporosis and Cholesterol testing are just a few of the health screenings available. Drop by the Center for a complete listing.
