Counseling Services

Counseling Services

The Family Foundations Counseling Program, established in 1993, provides professional counseling services for children (ages 5 & up), adolescents, adults, couples and families in a comfortable setting that offers complete confidentiality. Counseling is available on a sliding fee scale from $5-$30 per session based on family size and annual income.

We offer counseling to address a wide range of individual and family issues. However, when needed we are able to make referrals for additional or more appropriate services. We counsel from a strengths based, solution-focused perspective in order to help you see your best self and find solutions that work for you or your family. Our counseling program provides a safe place where individuals and families can be heard, without judgment, and focus on what is going to help them heal their life.

Counseling has the most success when the person actively participates in the process and practices what they have learned in their daily life.

Some benefits to counseling include:

·         Finding solutions to the issues that brought you to counseling

·         Finding new ways to manage depression, anxiety, anger, guilt

·         Increasing self –esteem

·         Learning unhealthy patterns/cycles and how to avoid them

·         Improving relationships

·         Learning good communication skills

·         Learning to accept and cope with change

·         Identifying healthy ways to cope with stress

·         Transforming negative self-talk into positive, supportive self-talk

·         Gaining a better understanding of self and setting life goals
