Welcome!
"We are now open for business! Selected classes start on September 4th. Our After School Program will move back to the Center from the Elementary School in mid September. Our NEW PERFORMING ARTS Program starts in October and offers a wonderful selection of classes for children and teens." Thanks!

Check out our new Adult Class Schedule and the new Youth Programs!

Visiting the Island and interested in some wonderful adult and youth programs? The Center offers a wide variety of activities for all ages. Over 1.5 million hours of cultural, educational, family support, recreational and social programs are provided annually. We have an excellent before school and after-school program for children in grades K-5th, as well as Holiday Camps and an awesome Summer Camp Program. The Center has sports programs for children ranging from basketball and soccer, roller hockey and Little League baseball, swimming and cheerleading, to ballet and jazz dance.

We also offer professional counseling through our two masters degreed therapists for individuals and families who are uninsured and underinsured.

Adults may enjoy classes like: Tai Chi, Friendly Bridge, Foreign Language, Watercolor and Drawing classes, Craft Classes, Yoga, Line Dancing, Pilates, Irish Dance, and Tennis and so much more. Be sure to attend the Big Band dance in January, our Sweetheart Ball in February, the Tour of Homes in March, our premier social event of the year the "Affaire to Remember" auction dinner in February, the Fishing Tournamant in June, the O'Connor Challenge Bowling Tournament in August, AM Oysterbar Golf Tournament in September and the Lester Family Fun Day in December.

Volunteers are most welcome and greatly appreciated, too. You can make a difference in the life of a child. It'll do your heart good! Drop in for a visit or for more information. Or just give us a call at (941) 778-1908.
